Tester Agreement

1. Acceptance and eligibility

This Tester Agreement supplements the Terms of Service. You accept it when you expressly agree in a tester application or ticket, accept a private tester role after being shown this agreement, or access a private build supplied under it.

You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or legal guardian review and approve participation in writing. You must use your own approved account and provide accurate application information.

2. Testing access

Testing access is personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable, and provided only for the approved project, platform, build, and test period. Approval does not guarantee future builds, employment, compensation, credits, or release access.

• Download only from the approved private source and verify the version and SHA-256 when provided.
• Do not share your account, build, installer, access role, download URL, activation material, or private documentation.
• Remove builds and confidential materials promptly when access ends or staff requests deletion.

3. Confidential information

Confidential Information includes unreleased software, builds, screenshots, video, audio, story or design details, private channels, roadmaps, security information, credentials, documentation, bug details, and material marked or reasonably understood to be private.

• Use Confidential Information only to perform the approved test.
• Do not stream, record, publish, quote, mirror, data-mine, benchmark publicly, or discuss it outside approved spaces without written permission.
• Protect it with reasonable device and account security and report any loss, leak, or unauthorized access immediately.
• Confidentiality does not cover information you can document was already public without your breach, lawfully known, independently developed, or rightfully received without a duty of confidence.

4. Testing and reports

• Test within the stated scope and follow staff instructions, safety rules, and the Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.
• Use the newest approved build where practical and include build number, device/OS, steps, expected result, actual result, frequency, and sanitized evidence.
• Do not include passwords, tokens, private keys, payment data, unrelated personal files, or another person’s private information in logs or screenshots.
• Stop testing and notify staff if an issue could expose data, harm users, damage systems, or affect a third party.

5. Feedback and ownership

You retain ownership of pre-existing work. Testing does not transfer ownership of UnhingedForge software or Confidential Information. You grant UnhingedForge a perpetual, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, and incorporate feedback, bug reports, suggestions, test data, and other test submissions without payment or attribution.

Do not submit material you do not have the right to provide. Project credit may be offered at our discretion and does not create ownership, employment, or approval authority.

6. Pre-release risk

Private builds may crash, corrupt saves, change files, perform poorly, contain incomplete security controls, or be incompatible. Use a non-critical device or account when advised, keep backups, and do not rely on a test build for important work. To the extent permitted by law, testing materials are provided as is and at your own risk.

7. No employment or payment

Unless a separate signed agreement states otherwise, participation is voluntary and does not create employment, partnership, agency, fiduciary duty, minimum hours, wages, benefits, or reimbursement. You choose whether and when to participate and may leave at any time.

8. Data and recordings

We may record your application, account identifier, build access, reports, event RSVP, relevant technical logs, and enforcement history as described in the Privacy Policy and Data-Retention Schedule. Test sessions are not recorded by voice or video unless participants receive advance notice and any required consent is obtained.

9. Term and termination

This agreement begins when accepted and continues until testing access ends. Either party may end participation at any time. Confidentiality, ownership, feedback licenses, security duties, deletion duties, disclaimers, and records needed to enforce the agreement survive as applicable.

A breach may result in immediate removal from testing, community enforcement, loss of future access, or other lawful remedies.
