This document is written to be usable, not decorative. Mandatory rights under applicable law always take priority where they provide stronger protection.

1. Agreement and scope

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and UnhingedForge Development (“UnhingedForge,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply when you access or use our website, any future official Discord community, Unhinged Apprentice bot, support systems, games, applications, installers, test builds, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using a Service, you agree to these Terms and every policy linked from them. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Product-specific notices or signed agreements control only where they expressly conflict with these Terms.

UnhingedForge is an independent development studio and brand. Nothing on this site claims a corporate form, registration, or office that has not been separately announced.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum age required where you live.
  • If you are under the age of legal majority, a parent or guardian must permit your use and should review these Terms with you.
  • Private testing may require you to be 18 or to provide documented parent or guardian approval.
  • You may not use the Services if doing so would violate law, sanctions, or an enforceable restriction that applies to you.

3. Accounts, access, and security

Some Services rely on accounts provided by Discord, GitHub, a storefront, or another platform. You are responsible for your account, device, credentials, and activity. Notify us promptly if you believe your access has been compromised.

Do not share passwords, authentication codes, bot tokens, private keys, payment-card data, or private download links in tickets or public channels. UnhingedForge staff will not ask for them.

4. Acceptable use

  • Follow the Community Guidelines and all applicable platform rules.
  • Do not harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, dox, stalk, exploit, or endanger another person.
  • Do not distribute malware, malicious links, pirated material, stolen credentials, cheats, or tools intended to bypass security or access controls.
  • Do not scrape, overload, probe, reverse engineer, or interfere with a Service except where law permits it or our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy authorizes good-faith research.
  • Do not evade moderation, bans, rate limits, testing restrictions, or product licensing controls.
  • Do not use our name, branding, staff identities, or official channels to falsely suggest endorsement or affiliation.

5. Software and intellectual property

UnhingedForge and its licensors retain ownership of the Services, software, artwork, designs, characters, names, logos, documentation, and other protected materials. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use an authorized copy of a Service for its intended personal purpose.

Unless we give written permission, you may not sell, sublicense, mirror, redistribute, remove notices from, or create unauthorized derivative versions of our software or private builds. Rights granted by mandatory law remain unaffected.

6. Your content and feedback

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, format, display, and moderate it only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the feature where you submitted it. You may revoke promotional use of identifiable showcase content by contacting us; operational copies may remain under the Data-Retention Schedule.

Ideas and feedback are voluntary and are not confidential unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. You permit us to use feedback without payment or attribution while retaining ownership of your pre-existing work.

7. Tests, previews, and service changes

Alpha, beta, test, preview, and pre-release Services may be incomplete, unstable, incompatible, or changed without notice. Features, progress, saves, access, and release dates are not guaranteed. Back up important data before installing or testing software.

We may update, suspend, discontinue, or limit a Service when reasonably needed for development, security, legal compliance, maintenance, or community safety.

8. Third-party services

Discord, GitHub, hosting providers, game platforms, payment processors, stores, and linked websites are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability does not constitute an endorsement.

9. Suspension and termination

We may warn, limit, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms, our policies, law, safety requirements, or another person’s rights have been violated. Serious or urgent risks may result in immediate action. Community enforcement may be appealed through the Ban-Appeal Process.

You may stop using the Services at any time and may request deletion of eligible bot records through /delete-mydata or by email. Provisions that should survive by their nature—including ownership, licenses already relied upon, safety records, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without promises that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible, or fit for a particular purpose. Testing software is used at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UnhingedForge will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Services. Nothing excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Changes, severability, and contact

We may update these Terms for product, legal, security, or operational changes. The effective date will change, and material changes will be announced through an appropriate official channel. Continued use after the new effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited only as necessary and the remainder will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Questions may be sent to the company contact below.
