This document is written to be usable, not decorative. Mandatory rights under applicable law always take priority where they provide stronger protection.

1. The standard

UnhingedForge is a public, 13+ development community. Participation should be safe, useful, welcoming, and focused on games, apps, creative work, and constructive collaboration. These rules apply to official channels, forums, events, tickets, voice spaces, direct messages arising from the community, and conduct that creates a credible safety risk to members.

Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and teen-safety rules apply in addition to these guidelines.

2. Respect people

  • No harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech, slurs, discriminatory conduct, stalking, dogpiling, or encouragement of self-harm or violence.
  • No sexual harassment, unwanted advances, dating solicitation, or sexualized interaction involving anyone under 18.
  • Do not share or threaten to share private information, intimate content, real-world location, private messages, or credentials without authorization.
  • Critique the work, not the person. Disagreement is welcome; humiliation, baiting, and personal attacks are not.

3. Keep content appropriate for a 13+ public server

  • No pornography, sexually explicit or suggestive content, sexual roleplay, graphic gore, shock content, or age-restricted material.
  • Never sexualize minors or share child sexual abuse material. Report suspected exploitation directly to Discord and appropriate authorities; do not repost evidence publicly.
  • Use content warnings for non-graphic discussions that may be sensitive, and follow staff direction about channel placement.

4. Protect the forge

  • No scams, phishing, malware, token grabbers, credential theft, impersonation, fake staff accounts, suspicious downloads, or requests to disable security software.
  • No spam, mass mentions, raids, disruptive automation, artificial engagement, unsolicited advertising, or repeated self-promotion.
  • Do not distribute cheats, stolen assets, leaked builds, pirated material, unauthorized mirrors, license bypasses, or instructions designed to evade protections.
  • Potential vulnerabilities must be reported privately under the Vulnerability Disclosure Policy, never exploited or posted publicly before coordination.

5. Respect creative and confidential work

  • Post only content you own, have permission to use, or may lawfully share. Credit collaborators and sources.
  • Do not redistribute tester builds, private links, unreleased materials, internal discussions, personal bug attachments, or content covered by a confidentiality agreement.
  • Label fan work clearly. Do not present unofficial projects, downloads, social accounts, or communities as official releases.

6. Use channels and tools responsibly

  • Read pinned resources and search before posting. Keep one focused idea per feature thread and include reproducible details in bug reports.
  • Use private tickets for member reports, appeals, account issues, business matters, and evidence containing personal or security-sensitive information.
  • Do not misuse reports, tickets, reactions, polls, voice channels, or bot commands to harass staff or members.
  • Follow reasonable staff instructions about safety, scope, spoilers, thread organization, and moving a discussion.

7. Staff conduct

Staff must apply rules consistently, use the least severe effective action, document significant decisions, avoid conflicts of interest, protect private reports, and escalate credible safety or security risks. Staff status does not excuse violations. Concerns about staff should be reported through a private ticket or email to the owner contact.

8. Enforcement

Depending on severity, history, intent, and risk, action may include content removal, education, a warning, slow mode, role restriction, timeout, removal from testing, kick, or ban. Severe safety threats, scams, exploitation, ban evasion, malware, or credible illegal conduct may result in immediate removal and referral to Discord or authorities.

You may appeal an UnhingedForge community action under the Ban-Appeal Process. Discord account or platform enforcement must be appealed to Discord.
